-Student Covid-19 Testing programme

Covid-19 National Testing Programme

We will be testing students for Covid-19 upon their return to school from 8th March onwards. Students will receive 3 tests, each 3-5 days apart. Please see the letter sent to parents on 25th February for details.

If your child has tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 90 days, they do not need to be tested before they return to school.

Here are details of the tests:

Lateral flow testing

Upon students' return to face-to-face teaching in the Spring/Summer Term of 2021 (date yet to be announced), there is a planned programme of mass testing for Covid-19 in schools. Students will initially be tested twice (with a 3-5 day gap) and then on a weekly basis.

Staff will also be testing themselves twice weekly at home.

Here is a video that shows the process in school:

Students under the age of 16 require parental consent, those 16 or over can self-consent.
